Each and every habit of our Greatest and Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم is unparalleled. Following are 8 such admirable traits:
Whoever would call the Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم, he صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم would bless him with the reply by saying Labbayk [لَبَّیک]. (Ash-Shifa, vol. 1, pp. 121)
Whenever anyone whispered anything in the blessed ear of Rasoolullah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم, he صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم did not pull his blessed head away from the speaker's mouth until the speaker finished. (Ibid)
The Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم would never sit having his legs stretched when the blessed Sahabah رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُم would be present in his blessed court. (Ibid)
If someone would visit the Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم, sometimes he صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم would lay down his blessed shawl for him; in fact, he صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم would even offer his cushion to the visitor. (Ibid, vol. 1, pp. 122)
The Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم would call the blessed Sahabah by their Kunyahs (patronymic names) and by names which they liked. (Ibid)
He صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم would speak slowly and calmly with incredible dignity, allowing any listener to count the number of sentences if he wished to. (Ibid, vol. 1, pp. 139)
He صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم would walk quickly, leaning forward slightly as though he صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم was walking downhill. (Shumaail-ut-Tirmizi, pp. 87)
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ has narrated: He صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم would walk so fast as if the earth is being rolled beneath his blessed feet. We would get out of breath while walking with him but he صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم would keep on walking quickly and effortlessly. (Shumaail-ut-Tirmizi, pp. 86)
He صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم would never refuse the gift of fragrance; in fact, he صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم would say: "Do not reject the gift of fragrance since it has come from Heaven." (Ibid, pp. 130)
May Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ help us to develop the blessed habits of our Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم. Ameen.
